No. 1 Star: Matt Frattin, Toronto Maple Leafs
The Leafs forward scored with 0.6 seconds left in overtime, chipping the puck past Ryan Miller of the Buffalo Sabres for the 4-3 victory. He earlier scored in the second period, as Buffalo dropped to 29-9-5 vs. the Leafs at home since 1996.
No. 2 Star: Antti Niemi, San Jose Sharks
It wasn’t easy, but the Sharks goaltender backstopped his team to a 6-0-0 start in a win over the Anaheim Ducks in the shootout. Niemi made 28 saves and two more in the shootout, as the Sharks won the game, 3-2.
