Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and based on his average annual salary, McDonald will forfeit $7,567.56. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund. So McDonald had plenty of time not to make the hit, seeing Lovejoy's numbers the entire way. And Lovejoy didn't turn his back like Patrick Kaleta did on the Mike Brown hit last night. Hence, a two-game suspension. We were guessing three, but without an injury, two it is.
